Lapointe has proved he can get things done

Hallowell has two highly qualified candidates for mayor. I am writing to endorse George Lapointe.

I write from my new house at Stevens Common. The Stevens Common redevelopment is one of the most important projects in Hallowell’s history. It happened because George Lapointe, then chair of the Finance Committee, in the words of former Mayor Mark Walker, “led the committee in reaching consensus… to craft an important investment package for Hallowell.”

The Stevens School bond issue was passed by the voters, and today the residents of Hallowell are all benefiting from the new housing and tax revenues. Lapointe has proved he can get economic development done, and deserves another term.
